The first half of this episode is just heartwrenching. Godai seems to take the news calmly, until we see him dashing up the roadside fence. It's these moments that make MI's characters seem so human. I hope Takahashi treats this arc's conclusion with equal seriousness. Her characters shine in these awful, sad moments. None of it comes off as angsty, as does most shoujo.
